This is our first time being awarded an ENERGY STAR Canada Builder of the Year award and it is an honourable achievement that extends across the entire Huron Creek Developments team. From design and development to construction and everything in between, this award would not be possible without the hard work and dedication from each one of our employees, trade and industry partners.
One of our key accomplishments in 2021 was receiving EnerQuality’s ENERGY STAR For New Homes Mid Volume Builder Award. This award recognizes leaders in the Ontario building industry who focus on the sustainable development of energy-efficient homes.
Another of Huron Creek Developments key accomplishments in 2021 was our Portside at Woodway Trails bungalow townhomes. These townhomes were recognized by Building Knowledge Canada for best building practices and consistent air tightness levels.
Additionally, building on our success constructing and certifying our homes under the ENERGY STAR for New Homes program, we are proud to also share that in 2021 our Model Home in Westwood Village was certified Net Zero Ready. This is now an option in all homes that we build as we work towards building our first fully certified NetZero Home.
Being recognized as the 2022 ENERGY STAR Canada Mid-Size Builder of the Year is a significant accomplishment. Huron Creek Developments will continue to honour this prestigious award through our commitment to the ENERGY STAR for New Homes program by continuing to offer ENERGY STAR certified homes in all the communities we build.
