Shade’s Mill Park is a popular winter destination. Experience the winter magic at Shade’s Mill Conservation Area, which has the most extensive trail network of any Grand River Conservation Authority winter trail. It’s easy to make a day of it with 10km of pristine paths to hike, cross country ski, as well as a snowshoe loop. Another popular activity in the park is ice fishing. The reservoir is ideal for those who have always wanted to try their hand at ice fishing, with day huts available to keep you warm and toasty.
